The idea of forming the "Arbeitskreis" (work-circle) arose from the problem – lacking the essential objectivity on one's own creative work. The concept of the "Arbeitskreis" aims to break entrenched habits and enable all participants to benefit from the knowledge and skills from each other. Unlike a classic work-group, participants are able to contribute their own individual ideas and as a result everyone puts in an equal part in the design process. The outcome of one person's input, which isn't always fully developed, works as the starting point for the next person. The final product of this experiment is a book that consists four parts. Each documents and analyses a different method of working together and illustrates the process of the Arbeitskreis. In collaboration with Peter Brücker, Vera Kellner, Giulia Schelm and Denis Yilmaz.
As Projektgruppe UdK Verlag (Carolin Gießner, Ana Halina Ringleb, Idan Sher, Ole A. H. Truderung, Denis Yilmaz) we developed the concept and design of the catalogue for the open days at the University of the Arts Berlin in Hardenberg Street. It includes an overview of master students, classes, workshops, Art in Context, architecture, a register of students and the building plan.
Procrastination has many variations and one of them is Tumblr. "Collecting Inspiration" is the gentle description for scrolling down hours for hours through endless amount of picture. This phenomena has become a major part in our work process. Trends rise and fall in the speed of light. Our interest in the work is dedicated to one of the trends, which hold significant visual and graphical compositions. It seems that these Digital collage, which every day being produce and reproduce, are a variations of a "Ur-Collage". Its explains maybe, why the term "Tumblr-Picture" create a similar image in our mind. The goal in this project, was to take these elements and to use them in a Still-Life photography, which in their final form symbolise our emotions of the post-medial present. Without the influence of the "Tumblr-Pictures" on us, this work wouldn't come into being, and without this context, our picture had no content. In collaboration with Nora Heinisch.
This book contains a documentation of three different documantry photo series I took.
For me the open days at the Art University are like an explosion of impressions. When you suddenly discover a work that inspires you, it grabs you like an impulsion. The combination of explosion and impulsion was the idea for the poster design.
A project which tries to define the truth. In my interpretation, the most understandable way to visualize the truth ("antifiction") would be to show images which were taken by ordinary people. Second, following the definition of Vaihinger H. about the truth, I chose to collect images which deal with error, mistake, destruction or irritation. You can see the whole project HERE!
